Final timeline depends largely on the size and subject matter. Larger and more intricate pieces will require additional time.

General timelines are as follows for single pet portraits:

• 11×14: 4-6 weeks

• 12×16: 6-8 weeks

• 16×20: 10-14 weeks

If you need the portrait completed and delivered by a specific date, please mention that in your inquiry so we can confirm the timeline moving forward.

I do not offer rush commissions. Each portrait is created by hand and needs time to be completed with care.

Clear photos where your pet is the main focus work best. The eyes should be visible and in focus whenever possible, because they are arguably the most important part when capturing your pet’s expression and personality.

Ideally the reference image should be taken in natural light or stable/bright indoor lighting. What matters most is that the photo clearly shows your pet’s face, markings, expression, and character.

While it is not ideal, some blurry photos can be used. I understand that this is especially common for memorial portraits where the available photos may be limited.

I’ll always be honest about what I can reasonably do with the photos provided. If certain details are unclear, I may need to use artistic judgement in areas that would otherwise come directly from the reference image.

There is a +20% purchase fee for the addition of a second pet.

More than one pet is only available for 12×16 or 16×20 sized portraits as that surface area will ensure these pets get the maximum detail.

Simple or softly suggested backgrounds are typically best for portraits so we can emphasize our sweet pets. By default, I stick to no background (or a pan pastel “wash”).

Highly detailed backgrounds, such as full landscapes, rooms, trees, furniture, or complex scenery may require a larger size and additional planning. For this, a 20% fee will incur for a fully rendered background.

No. Every portrait is drawn by hand from start to finish. I do use the help of a projector for the initial tracing/sketch that either comes from a digital mockup I create in Procreate, or directly from a reference photo.

I do not use AI to generate, alter, or create the artwork. From the sketch concept to the final portrait sent for approval.

You’ll receive a preliminary sketch for approval before I begin the final portrait. This is the best time to request adjustments to composition, placement, or overall direction.

I may send a mid-progress update once the portrait is far enough along to clearly show the direction of the piece.

Once the portrait is complete, I’ll send a final image for approval before final payment and shipping.

Yes, you’ll have the opportunity to request adjustments during the sketch approval stage before I begin the final portrait. Once the final artwork is underway, major composition changes may not be possible.

When the portrait is complete, I can make minor corrections if needed, such as a small marking, eye color, or detail adjustment. Because this is a traditional art portrait, revisions are limited and must stay within the original agreed-upon concept.

That said, if you are ever unhappy with your final portrait, I will always do what I can to ensure this portrait is something you’re proud of and cherish.

A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your commission spot. The remaining balance is due once the finished portrait has been approved and before the artwork is shipped.

Because each portrait is custom-made and time is reserved specifically for your piece, deposits are non-refundable once your commission is booked.

Invoices will be sent directly to your email of choosing.

No. Portraits are sold unframed so you can choose framing that best suits your home, style, and space.

I recommend professional framing with archival matting and UV-protective glass or acrylic to help protect the artwork over time.

If your portrait arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the damage (artwork, packaging, and shipping label)

I’ll use those photos to help begin the carrier claim process. Each portrait is an original piece, so shipping insurance is included to help protect both you and the artwork in transit.

Only if you give me permission! Before engaging in a commission, I will always ask for consent to share your finished portrait both on my website as well as social media platforms.
